Loving Hands Animal Hospital offers the following Grooming Services:

  • Bath & Brush services for dogs
  • Full-service grooming for cats
  • Sedated shave-downs for aggressive pets

Our staff uses a variety of grooming shampoos, conditioners and cleaners to bring out the best in your pets coat. To schedule a grooming appointment for your pet, simply contact us.

  • Feliway and Adaptil infused kennel area, for a more comfortable and calming environment

Puppies & Kittens

We love puppies and kittens! Learning manners for grooming is very important for all puppies and kittens, especially those breeds that will be visiting us often. Learning how to be comfortable in the bath tub, on the grooming table, or even learning the noise of a blow dryer, can be scary if your young pets are not eased into it. Making sure that your pet enjoys his or her visit is very important to us. At Loving Hands Animal Hospital we take the time to gently teach your pet proper etiquette at the Spa.

Sedation/Aggressive Pets

While we prefer to take our time and ease your pet into being comfortable with us and their surroundings, there are some pets that are unable to be groomed awake both for their safety and ours. Our staff and veterinarians work collaboratively to take care of pets that require sedatives or anesthesia. A veterinarian is always involved with your pet when sedation is required. If sedation is required or requested for your pet, a technician and/or veterinarian will discuss medical concerns regarding your pets overall health and the sedation process.

Grooming Requirements

We strive to be a FLEA FREE facility! We require that all grooming pets be free of fleas upon entrance. If your pet is found to have fleas, we will need to apply a dose during your pet's visit to protect your pet and to ensure our facility stays as FLEA FREE as possible.

For your pet’s protection, the protection of our staff and the protection of other pets in our care, we do require that the following vaccinations be current upon drop off or be updated with us upon check-in:

Dogs: DAPP (Distemper/ Parvo combo), Rabies & Bordetella (given within the last six months)*

Cats: FVRCP & Rabies*

*Proof of veterinary vaccines must be received at check-in to be admitted to the facility. If you would like our staff to retrieve this information from your veterinarian, please ask us when scheduling your appointment, we would be happy to assist you.
